Température de brillance en Kelvin du canal 89 GHz-V du capteur GMI. Cette image superpose l’ensemble des mesures effectuées par cet appareil sur la fenêtre de projection (40°N-40°S/40°W-40°E) le 27 février 2017. Ce canal se différencie du canal 18 GHz-H entre autre caractéristique par une émissivité plus élevée et plus uniforme. De ce fait, les noyaux de convection paraissent plus froids que leur environnement alors qu’ils paraissaient plus chauds sur la figure 2. Brightness temperature (K) of the 89 GHz-V GMI channel. This image is a composite of all the satellite tracks on the February 27th 2017. GMI data are projected on a 40°N-40°S/40°W-40°E window. This channel emissivity is higher and more homogeneous than 18 GHz-H one. Thus convection kernels look as colder than their environment in contrast with figure 2.
